Hi folks, money's been tight lately, and I can't really afford to buy wargaming stuff, so I've decided to start taking commisions to fund my figure addiction. Here is a list of prices, terms and conditions:
I mainly work in 20-28mm, but will consider any scale.
If you have any preferences when it comes to style, choice of paints, or anything else, just tell me and I will incorporate your wishes into the paintjob wherever possible.
PRICES: in Pounds Sterling (GBP)
Wargames quality Display quality
Scale Simple Complex Simple Complex
15mm 1.00 1.50 1.75 2.25
20mm 1.50 2.50 2.50 3.00
28mm 2.50 3.50 3.50 4.50
I haven't included prices for anything smaller than 15mm or larger than 28mm because I have no experience painting them, so I don't know how long it takes to paint a single figure.
Warames quality paintjobs include a single highlight for 15-20mm and two or possibly three for 28mm. Display quality include two highlights for 15mm, three for 20mm, and five or more for 28mm figures. These amounts of highlighting apply to large areas of a figure- the lace on a figure's collar doesn't need five highlights, and I can't paint that many on such a small piece of a model. Insignia and other small freehand items are included in display quality figures, and basic insignia are included on 28mm warames quality figures. Camouflaged and napoleonic figures, as well as others that require large amounts of freehand, are considered complex.
Simple basing is included in price, however if your preferred method of basing requires me to buy special items, you will be charged the cost for these items. There is no charge for paint.
De-flashing of metal figures is also included in the price, however assembly of multi-part plastic figures will cost an extra 20%. If I deem a figure to be unuseable, either due to excessive amounts of flash, or casting defects, then I will send them back to you unpainted, and you will not be charged for it.
All figures will be primed, and can be varnished on request. Please note, I cannot be held responsible for any side effects of varnishing, including frosting. I prefer not to varnish.
I will require a deposit of 25% before starting painting, and full payment at the end of painting, any figures not paid for will be kept by me and sold to recoup losses. The deposit is non-refundable.
I charge postage at cost, using recorded delivery. Insurance is optional, but I won't pay for, and cannot be held responsible for any damages/losses etc in the post. The choice of first or second class is up to you.
I would rather paint commissions of less than thirty figures at a time, but I'll consider anything.
I take paypal, and direct debit. I can also take cheques. Paypal will cost an extra 3.4% to cover the fee that Paypal charges.
I prefer to work in the UK, but will accept commissions from abroad. I'm not the one paying for postage after all. There may also be other unforseen costs for foreign commisions, you will be charged for these at cost.
