Liz Earle: Sweet Orange & Clove Cleanse and Polish

My love for Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish is strong. It was the first real skincare i ever bought myself and after a quick fling with other cleansing products i found myself going back to classic ole Cleanse and Polish. For someone of my age who doesn't have massive skin problems and doesn't really want to harm their skin with very stripping products this is amazing. It takes off all of your make up very quickly and leaves your skin feeling smooth yet clean. If you wear really heavy eye make up then you might need something stronger but for the most part it gets it done.

Something i always love about Liz Earle is their constant reinvention of Cleanse and Polish and the fragrances it comes in. Last year they permanently launched it in the Rose and Lavander scent alongside the classic smell. For me the lavander is too overwhelming and i am not its biggest fan so this kept me loyal to the classic scent. When i say the classic scent for those of you who haven't smelt it, it is very herbaceous, with a strong hint of Rosemary and Eucalyptus which i don't mind but some people really hate. If neither of these scents float your boat then they frequently bring out limited edition scents, a few years ago i wrote about the Jasmine and Osamanthus scent they bought out which was incredible however their current one is Sweet Orange and Clove.

By no means did i rush out and buy it but i did keep an eye out for it whenever i walked past a counter but after only seeing it in John Lewis i want to say it is an exclusive to them as i haven't seen it anywhere else. I didn't go in with the intention of buying however when i smelt it i knew i had to have it. It is definitely more of an orange scent than clove but the clove just adds that little bit of winter with a hint of spice. It is a touch more delicate smelling than the classic Cleanse and Polish so if you find that a bit overwhelming this is a great alternative.

The set itself has a 150ml size bottle which is larger than the average 100ml bottle of the Cleanse and Polish. With it you get two muslin cloths which have an orange edge around them which is a nice touch to signify that they came with this bottle. Unfortunately this set did not go down in the January sales so it is still £22.75 on the other hand it does mean if you want it, it is still available. If you haven't tried this product before i highly recommend you do, it is a cult product and this limited edition is a great way of doing so.
