Favorites of March 2015

It's (kind of) the beginning of a new month.  You know what that means.  Favorites time.

In no particular order:

Purpose Gentle Cleansing Face Wash (review) -- I don't think I've included this in a favorites before, and it's not a particularly fancy or exciting pick, but I'm so happy with it that I wanted to feature it here.

NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Palette -- Man, this is a gorgeous palette.  My favorite shades are Himalia (rich light golden brown) and Lysithea (gunmetal silver).  I also like Andromeda (iridescent ivory) for the inner corner, and Europa (pinky peach) is pretty as a single color wash on the lid.  The darkest colors work great as liners when used wet.

NARS Dual-Intensity Blush in Panic -- I love how vibrant these shades are in the pan.  I haven't tried using either color wet yet, and because they have enough (sometimes too much!) pigment when I use them dry, I don't really plan to try them wet.  Plus, I'm not sure how easy blending them on the cheek would be.  They leave a beautiful finish with a bit of sheen on the cheeks.

I took the picture of the eyeshadow when I first got it, which is why it is in pristine condition.  It ain't pristine no more.
ColourPop Super Shock Eyeshadow in I Heart This -- This eyeshadow has so much sparkle, but the neutral color makes it more wearable.  I love this one so much that I wore it to the Saturday evening opera we attended during my recent trip to Chicago.  I usually wear my fanciest stuff to Saturday evening operas.

Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick in Pink Dragon (review) -- This neutral pink lipstick is very comfortable and buttery on the lips, and has a wonderful slightly shiny finish.  It looks good with everything.  Plus it's called Pink Dragon.

LORAC Unzipped Cheek Palette -- The shade selection in this palette is pretty perfect.  A neutral pink that goes with everything, a bright cool-toned pink, a shimmering peach, and a slightly shimmery bronze.  The blushes have a lot of pigment (especially Unashamed -- the bright pink), so I have to be kind of careful and remember to put a tiny bit on my brush and then tap it off before I actually apply it.  I think my favorite shade is Unimaginable.  It's a very pretty shimmery light peach.  I took this with me to Chicago because of it's versatility.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Brigitte -- Described as a "nude rose" by NARS, this is an incredibly creamy, pigmented, long-wearing warm deep peach lipstick.  Simply lovely.

Trip to Chicago (part 1, part 2) -- This was an immensely fun four day trip with my parents and little sister.

Crocuses -- My favorite spring flowers started blooming in the month of March.  They make me so happy.

How was March for you?  What were some of your favorites?
